All:Math shorts! Chris: By: Tanner Tanner: Sup Chris: Jon Jon: peace out! Chris: and me Chris hi. Tanner: If I flunk another test I can’t go to seventh grade. Can you help me Guys? Chris:With what? Tanner: Probability. Chris: sure Jon we need to help Tanner so he can pass. Jon: ok, so tanner what do you know about probability. Tanner: Well my teacher taught me a trick to help me answer a probability question. Chris:Well what is it. Tanner: I, I, forgot. Jon: did your teacher tell you something like the top number is what you want to happen, and the bottom number is what can happen. Chris: For example there are two blue jolly ranchers. Two red jolly rancher and Two green jolly ranchers. What is the probability of pulling out a blue jolly rancher? Tanner: There’s two sixths for pulling out a blue jolly rancher, right? Jon: Stop! Chris: You got to reduce. Jon and Chris: Reduce, Reduce. Chris: The correct answer is 1/3 Jon: If one of the Questions are to change to a decimal than you got to take the top number the numerator and divide it by the bottom number the denominator.Than you get a decimal. Tanner:ok I get it, let’s do another Question. Jon: ok, Rick rolls a 6-sided number cube that has sides numbered 1-6.What is the probability of the number cube landing greater than 2 facing up? Is it Chris:
1/3
0.5
2/3
0.75
Tanner: let’s see I’m thinking that it’s 4/6, Chris and Jon: Tanner. Tanner: But reduced its 2/3 Jon: Wow your getting it now. Chris: You’re surely going to pass the test. Jon: See you next year tanner Tanner: And well see you next time. All: See ya!
